"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change
the world; indeed, that is the only thing that ever has." – Margaret Mead
These are the World Changers of 2008-2009
On the day of the president's inauguration in January, 2009,
a new blog on race relations will be launched as a project of
Wizard Academy. These are the writers of that blog.
Once a year we teach a carefully selected group of students the art of moving hearts and minds. We teach them how to make things happen and then we unleash them on the world.
Each of the selected students is granted a full-tuition scholarship. The only payment we receive is that these students promise to do all they can to make the world a better place. A dozen committed people, unleashed and equipped to make as big a difference in the world as they can: Wizard Academy is getting a pretty good return-on-investment for its 3 days of training, wouldn't you say?
Each of our scholarship recipients is responsible for getting themselves to Austin where they must also provide their own local travel and accommodations. Room and board in Engelbrecht House will be provided at no charge by the alumni of Wizard Academy.
