Writing for Radio and the Internet
A 2-day Workshop at Wizard Academy
Learn simple but powerful techniques for writing better radio copy and top-secret, persuasion techniques used by the world's best-performing websites.
We’ll teach you to use the two in concert to superpower your marketing.
Taught by Chris Maddock and Jeff Sexton, "the most effective teachers of persuasive ad copy I've ever encountered."
– Roy H. Williams
Chris has been a stellar associate of the Wizard of Ads for 12 years. You might remember him from chapter 66 of The Wizard of Ads, (1998) "Pointing Chris Like a Gun." Take a peek at his new video.
For 3 years Jeff Sexton was the beloved instructor of How to Write Powerfully and Clearly, Wizard Academy's always-sold-out online writing course. Then he was hired away by Jeff and Bryan Eisenberg to become a famous persuasion architect at Future Now.
Maddock and Sexton are strong together. Be one of the first 13 to sign up and you'll be staying in Engelbrecht House for free with all your meals at no charge. Be number 14 and it's a hotel and a restaurant for you. At your own expense. Ponder long and you ponder wrong.
(Acadgrads receive a 50 percent discount.)
Engelbrecht House is full for the April 10-11, 2013 class, but it's worth staying in a hotel to be part of this. (See AREA HOTELS in the right hand column at the top of this page.) Your lunches and dinners will be on campus with the rest of the class. Th only time you'll be alone is when you're asleep. And that's not so bad, is it? Call us with questions - (512) 295-5700. This class is going to help you. A lot.
"Let me just say that the Writing For Radio And The Internet workshop was fantastic. Chris and Jeff opened doors that I didn't even know were there. Their combined efforts really drove home the point that the principles of great writing can be effectively applied to both media. Along with your always-welcomed and unannounced mind-stretching visits, the workshop was just the right kind of creative workout I was hoping to get. After today, I'll be looking at every ad I write in a whole new way."
"Admit it. You need better copy. The only thing sticking your head in the sand does is make your booty a better kicking target. Take the course. It's scary but worth it. Your flaming pen will thank you."
Seven years ago, I attended Wizard Academy in Buda at your humble ranch (which was phenomenal, by the way…) This past weekend, I attended "Writing for Radio and the Internet" at your new location. Wow…it was the ultimate before-and-after scenario. The Chapel, Engelbrecht House, Tuscan Hall. I look at what you've done in four short years and know that anything's possible.
I stayed at Engelbrecht House during the class and after reading your preparatory emails prepared myself for a sterile college dorm room experience (which would have been fine). Then I stepped inside my room…truly four-star accommodations. From the tile, to the artwork to the most comfortable bed ever, Engelbrecht house raised the bar to Everest-like heights. I felt spoiled every single day.
There is another place that does what you do—it's called Disney World.
Great people surround themselves with great people. Chris Maddock and Jeff Sexton are two fine examples. I first met Chris back in Buda and he is as brilliant as ever. Of all the teachers and professors I have had in my life, you and your staff were the first to help me fall in love with literature. Thank you for that.
You are making a difference in this world. I am grateful our paths crossed and I was able to walk with you for awhile...
